SUMMARY:Lacombe & District Garden Club Seedy Saturday
DESCRIPTION:Seedy Saturday seed exchange and purchase!\nAt the LMC County Room\n1PMSpeaker: Nikki and Chris from Lady’s Hat Farm! IT is an ecologically driven and diversified farm near Castor\, Alberta. They raise pigs and chickens\, grow vegetables and grains\, and harvest honey. They are one of about a dozen or so growers in the\n@cooperative_flower_network\, a flower growing coop based out of Edmonton. Along with their coop partners\, they sell thousands of stems to local florists – who then get those local blooms in your hands!\nWhile her accountant husband will cringe by her labelling these as our most “profitable” flowers (she did NOT take into account cost of bulbs\, corms\, labour\, blah blah blah)\, she thought sharing this list could help other growers with their winter planning. Some easy winners are the annuals: the amaranth\, cosmos\, sunnies\, snapdragons. So if you’re starting a cut flower garden\, she certainly start there!\nSeed exchange and sale: 11AM to 4 pm\nExchange pkg for pkg or purchase from Lacombe and District Garden Club library for $1 \nContact: wilsonpatricia2007@gmail.com
